Tree Transplanting in Perth
Relocate with care. Restore with confidence.
We help trees keep growing — even when the ground beneath them changes.
Why Transplant Instead of Remove?
A tree isn’t just part of your landscape — it’s part of your story. Whether you’re renovating, developing, or simply reshaping your outdoor space, tree transplanting offers a sustainable alternative to removal.
At Green Surgery, we specialise in tree relocation services across Perth, giving established trees a second chance to thrive in a new location — and giving you peace of mind that you’ve chosen a preservation-first solution.
Our Tree Relocation Process
We follow proven arboricultural methods tailored to Western Australia’s native species, soil conditions, and climate.
Here’s how we handle each job:
On-Site Assessment
We assess the tree’s health, age, root structure, and site conditions to ensure transplanting is a viable option.
Planning & Preparation
Timing is everything. We recommend transplanting during Perth’s cooler months (autumn to early spring) to reduce stress. We’ll also prepare both the current and new sites.
Root & Canopy Conditioning
Selective root and canopy pruning helps prepare the tree for relocation, supporting new root growth and structural stability.
Extraction & Transport
Using specialist equipment, we carefully lift and transport the tree, protecting the root ball and surrounding structure.
Replanting & Aftercare
Once replanted, we secure the tree, improve soil conditions, and provide a detailed aftercare plan to help it re-establish successfully.
Note
We’ll always provide transparent advice on transplant viability. In some cases, transplanting may not be suitable — and we’ll never recommend it unless we’re confident in the outcome.
What Trees Can Be Transplanted?
We regularly relocate:
Native WA
species
including jarrah, marri,
tuart and peppermint
Ornamental
trees
like jacaranda, olive,
crepe myrtle
Young to semi-mature trees
with healthy root
systems
Note
We’ll always provide transparent advice on transplant viability. In some cases, transplanting may not be suitable — and we’ll never recommend it unless we’re confident in the outcome.
Why Choose
Green Surgery?
qualified arborists
We have a deep local knowledge, we’re not just here to move trees — we’re here to help them thrive. We understand:
Perth’s soils and microclimates
Council requirements and local regulations
How to give relocated trees the best chance of survival
We work with homeowners, builders, landscapers and developers who care about keeping mature trees in the picture — not just clearing them out of the way.
When Should You Transplant?
In Perth, the best time to relocate most trees is between April and September, when temperatures are cooler and moisture levels are higher. This allows roots time to re-establish before summer heat kicks in.
